The Product
Mission Image Sizer turns any image — or a PDF with an image in it — into every size and format you need. It runs entirely on your machine: no account, no upload, no internet connection. Your files are held in memory while you work and are never written to disk or sent anywhere.
Resize & convert: produce thumbnails, square logos, web and hero images, social-media crops, and a complete favicon pack from one source. Output to JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF, with quality control per format — or let Auto keep PNG for anything with transparency and use JPEG for photographs.
Custom sizes, measured live: type a width and the height follows to keep the aspect ratio, or set both independently and choose whether the difference is cropped or padded. The output file size is shown as you type, measured by running the real encoder rather than estimated from a formula.
PDFs: embedded images are extracted at their true resolution — a 4000 px photo placed in a letter-size page comes out as 4000 px, not a page screenshot. Pages with only vector artwork are rendered instead.
Careful by default: EXIF orientation is applied so photographs are never sideways; metadata (including GPS coordinates) is stripped from output so it can be published safely; and small images are not enlarged unless you ask, because upscaling invents detail.
